Sharon Small was born on November 5, 1936 in Moline, a daughter of Richard E. and Helen A. (Swank) Small. She was united in marriage to Charles McDonnell on February 8, 1964 in Davenport. They later separated.
Sharon was a supervisor in the Security Assistance Management Office working for ACALA on the Rock Island Arsenal. She retired in March of 1996 after 40 years and 9 months of service.
Sharon enjoyed reading, traveling, and listening to music, especially musical and Broadway productions. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory, Women of the Moose, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her sons: Michael McDonnell, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Steven (Marcie Blanco) McDonnell, Hoboken, New Jersey, and a grandson, Luke McDonnell, Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Hanley, and her parents. May they rest in peace.
