Donna Lynn Applegate, age 53 of Salem, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:08 pm, in St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Born July 3, 1964 in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Randall E. Applegate and Patricia K. (Burnett) Spurgeon.

She had been a resident with Blue River Services in Palmyra since 1993 and has received services for most of her life.

Survivors include: Mother Patricia K. Spurgeon of Salem; 3 Brothers: Robert (Heather) Applegate of Salem, Justin D. (Theresa) Applegate of Scottsville, Kentucky and Bryan (Michele) Applegate of Houston, Texas and her much loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and step mother: Randall and Gail Applegate, Grandparents: Maxine and Elbert Applegate and Marcella and Robert McKnight and Great Grandmothers: Myra Matson and Pearl Burnett.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, arrangements by Dawalt Funeral Home.
