"Paul was born in Ieager, (yes, it's spelled with an "I"), West Virginia, the sixth of seven children. He is the son of Dewey Otis and Nancy Mae Umbarger. He moved to Georgia in 1962 after becoming ill. He was a mechanic, a sales person and a security guard. After moving to Geogia, he married Elizabeth Annette Carter and had one son, Paul Edward Umbarger.
