Ida Mae (Bennett) Brandt Ida Mae (Bennett) Brandt, 69, of Kittanning, went to meet her creator, on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017. She was born May 23, 1948, the daughter of the late Russell and Permilda (Bowser) Bennett. She leaves behind a daughter; two grandsons Jonathan Vantine and Alex Dickey which she helped raise. Also surviving is five brothers, Norman (Janet) Bennett, Ronald (Deborah) Bennett, Robert (Janet) Bennett, Dennis Bennett, and Timothy (Peg) Bennett; six sisters Ella Pearl Douglass, Yvonne Lasher, Bessie Stewart, Greta (Lenny) Walker, Rose (Jim) Klingensmith, and Charlene (Robert) Hammer. Also several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-greatnieces and nephews. Also her namesake niece, Ida McElfresh, that with her partner would keep her spirit up. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claire "Clem" Brandt; brother, Charles Bennett, and an infant brother, Russell Bennett Jr.; and sister, Hallie McElfresh. She enjoyed doing Bible studies, reading her Bible, doing her crafts, watching wrestling on TV and she was a soldier of The Salvation Army, her church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning until the time of the service at 8 p.m. with Lt. Luke Barney and Lt. Sara Barney of The Salvation Army officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
