Janese Jackson Talton died unexpectedly, on January 22, 2016, at the tender age of 29.

She was the cherished daughter of Jacob Talton, Victoria Robinson and Delilah Jackson.

Survived by her parents; children Brittany, Brianna and Mark; siblings Edward (Michelle) Gainey, Valerie (Tim) McCoy, LaToya Gathers, Jacob Talton, Phillip Talton, Ty Jackson, Jamar Jackson and Delisha Jackson.

She will be deeply missed by her family.

According to the police report, Janese was at Cliff's Bar, located in Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood. As the bar neared closing, she was approached by Charles Anthony McKinney, who apparently was interested in her. The interest wasn't reciprocated, and she left. McKinney allegedly followed her outside, was rebuffed again and then shot her in the chest. She was declared dead at the scene.

Charles McKinney, 41, said that he didn't mean to shoot Janese on Jan. 22, 2016, outside Cliff's Bar in Homewood.

He pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, illegally carrying a firearm, fleeing police, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. He will serve 20 to 40 years in prison. He was also ordered to serve 3 years probation and pay restitution.
