Etta Mae Adams, age 88, of Colbert, OK, left this earthly home, peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018. Etta was born on May 3, 1929 in Lancaster, Texas to David Lebon Grizzle & Martha Vicey Bolin Grizzle. She married Cecil P. Adams on August 7, 1943 in Rockwall, TX. During her employment years, she worked as a technician for Texas Instruments. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Platter, OK.

Etta loved her family very much and they were all so special to her. She was an excellent cook and loved preparing food for her family and special occasions. She spent many hours in her yard with her beautiful flowers which her family and friends enjoyed.

She is survived by her daughters; Patricia Damron & Loren of Kingston, OK, Pamela Tomlison & Don of Colbert, OK, Cindy Ford & Don of Colbert, OK, her son; Cecil Ray Adams & Rae Ann of Utah, her brother; Edward Stokes & wife Ann of MO, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Adams, on April 10, 1996.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Platter Baptist Church, Platter, OK. Officiating will be her son-in-law, Reverend Donald Ford. Family will visit with friends one hour prior to service, 10-11 a.m. Interment will be at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Colbert, OK.

Pallbearers will be Steve Ford, Chris Ford, Matt Ford, John Damron, Robert Damron, Easton Ford.
