LAPEL — Daniel Jack Keller, 75, Lapel, passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018.

Dan was born on Oct. 22, 1942, in Tacoma, Washington, to Everett Wayne and Patricia M. (Coombs) Keller.

Daniel graduated from Lapel High School in 1960. He received a Bachelor's degree from the former Marion College and a Master's degree from Butler University.

He worked as a Wesleyan pastor for 18 years and had also worked at the Pendleton Correctional Facility and the Salvation Army social services and was a marriage and family therapist at Turning Points.

Daniel's major passion was helping people, and he was an avid coin collector.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie (Rhodus); children, Mark and Jennifer; grandchildren, Jason Keller, Dakota and Lindsey; great grandchildren, Braydon and Zariah; brother, Wayne Keller; and sisters, Julie Purciful and Pauline Dailey. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert, and brother, Paul Calvert.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, IN.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
