He was predeceased by his father, Blair Perkins. He is survived by his mother, Helen Perkins (Nicholson); a sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Brian Zuercher; a niece, Laura Zuercher; and a nephew, Logan Zuercher and his wife, Alexis.
Rusty was born in Allentown, a graduate of Wm. Allen High School and Lincoln Technical Institute, earning a degree in drafting. He resided in Lansdale and was employed by Stantec Architecture in Philadelphia as a senior plumbing designer.
He enjoyed playing guitar, oil painting, taking vacations with his family and going to Ocean City, Md., three times a year with friends. He was an avid sports fan and cheered on his Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Phillies. He was a quiet yet determined, witty, dependable and loving person who firmly believed in the human dignity of others. He will be greatly missed.
In keeping with Rusty's wishes, there will be no funeral services, and interment will be private at Nicholson Cemetery, Nicholson, Pa.
