Linda Craig Kannan, age 70, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Wayne UNC Healthcare.

Linda was born on May 26, 1947, to Kenneth E. and Eva G. Craig (Gray) in Aberdeen, WA. She graduated from Roseburg Senior High class of 1965, and from Oregon State University where she majored in Accounting. She received her Master in Accounting from UC Irvine.

Before moving to Goldsboro, Linda resided in Irvine, CA, where she had her own accounting practice for several years before becoming the CFO for LA Box Co.

Linda is survived by her sister Nancy C. Welch (Michael).

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas S. Kannan, Jr.

She was active in New Neighbors, currently the president of the organization. She was also active in the New Neighbors and Women's Club book clubs. She attempted to play bridge at the Senior Center, partnering with Dr. Ken Wilkins.

Linda has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Although she had no children of her own, she always had the four legged variety around. She enjoyed answering the question who rescued who. She is with them now.

The family expresses its gratitude to the wonderful staff of Wayne Memorial Hospital. They are a true asset to Wayne County.

At her request, no funeral service will be held, instead, a memorial will be held at Walnut Creek Country Club on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 2 p.m.

Notes: Father Kenneth E. Craig, b. 1910, Wisconsin; d. 6 March 1979, Lewis Co., Washington. In 1940, he & Eva resided in Kelso, Cowlitz Co., Washington where he worked as a log sealer at a lumber mill. They resided in the same place in 1935. Eva was b. 1910, Washington State.
