Natalie Joan St. Clair, 89, of Morenci, died Friday evening, February 23, 2018, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Born July 16, 1928, in Weston, MI, she was the only daughter of the late Lynn and Doris (Blood) Dickens. Joan was a 1945 graduate of Morenci High School, and later attended beauty college in Adrian. She married Gordon K. St. Clair on October 23, 1954, in Angola, IN, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1985.

A woman of many artistic talents, Joan owned and operated her own salon, Joan’s Beauty Shop from 1954-1957, and later worked for Lela Ranger. Later in her life, she owned the former Morenci Flower Shop for over 15 years. She loved animals, and she was particularly fond of German Shepherd dogs. Joan was also a proud member of D.A.R. In more recent years, she enjoyed shopping at garage sales, watching her beloved “Wheel of Fortune”, gatherings with her family, and ice cream sundaes with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her two daughters, Kim (Keith) Walker and Kristie (Joe) Farquhar all of Morenci; seven grandchildren, Gabriel (Brooke) Borer, Megan (Brad) Pike, Jessica (Jeremy) McCarty, Justin Miller, Vandria (Josh) Erskin, Heather Walker (Craig Pummell), and Benjamin Farquhar; fifteen great-grandchildren, Whitney, Natalie, Levi, Brodie, Neili, Brecken, Isaiah, Grayson, Honor, Dawson, Walker, Nolan, Scarlet, Brady, and Elizabeth; nieces and nephews, Cindy Bair, Mike (Lisa) Dickens, and Mindy (Kevin) Wagner; and several great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lynn Dickens, and a nephew Jerry “Butch” Dickens

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Morenci with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening, from 5-7 p.m.
