Joyce graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1977. She worked on the school newspaper. She worked for Parking Today Media. She and her boyfriend liked to travel to Kansas and hunt tornadoes. In 2013 Joyce started non-profit Ziggy and Friends Cat Rescue in Los Angeles, California. Joyce saved many cats in her lifetime. She passed away from pneumonia caused by the flu at the age of 59 at her home. Services will be posted when known.
