Deborah graduated from Shelby County High School and attended cosmetology school in Springfield. She worked at various salons in Springfield and operated her own salon, as well. She enjoyed music, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Norvell; step-father, Charles D. Mahoney; sister, Kimberly S. Pearce; and husband, Bruce Bennett.

She is survived by her son, Ian (Jessica Vosicky) Bennett of Chicago; mother, Patricia Mahoney of Springfield; brother, Bradley (wife, Tanya) Norvell of Gilbertsville, KY; sisters-in-law, Kristy (husband, John) Woods of Williamsville and Katey Bennett of Springfield; niece, Elizabeth Perkins of IA; nephews, Austin and Garrett Norvell of Calvert City, KY, Kane (wife, Brittany) Woods of Sherman, and Colin (wife, Abby) Woods of Springfield; and many cousins.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
