Graduate of Chaminade High School and University of Dayton. Retired US Army. Lifelong musician, avid volksmarcher, square dancer, cantor at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survived by Jennifer M. and Mark Wise, Sonja and Claudia; Anne E. and Robert Carpenter, Jr., Julia and Benjamin. Memorial services will be held in Dayton, OH and Asheville, NC at a later date.
