Florence E. (Allen) Newberry, 70, Nixa, Missouri, passed away at 3:45 p.m., Tuesday., Sept. 26, 2000, in Christian Health Care of Nixa. Florence was born May 31, 1921, the daughter of Charlie and Rinda (Hall) Allen. On March 28, 1987, she was united in marriage to Jessie Newberry, who preceded her in death: She lived most of her life in the Chadwick area and was a long time member of Victory Baptist Church. Florence was a hard working woman who enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, being out-doors for long walks, fishing, and hunting. She was a very devoted and loving mother to her children and dedicated to her family. Besides her husband, Florence was also preceded in death by both parents, one sister, Dorthy Loomis, and an infant brother, Thomas Allen. She is survived by two daughters, Vonna Keiler and husband Mike, Nixa; Wanda Jersak and husband Richard, Nixa; one son Raymond Willis and wife Ellarea, Cedar Creek; four grandchildren Gina Jersak, Natasha Keller, Anthony Willis and Gary Willis; two great¬-grandchildren, Corric Willis, and Kyle Willis; two brothers, Clarence Allen and wife Cleta, Chadwick; Bud Allen and wife Evelyn, Rogersville; four sisters Hazel Jenkins and husband Basil, Ozark; Elma Moody and husband Richard, Sparta; Elsie Gray and husband Reggie, Chadwick; and Gladys Gilbert, Oldfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Skip "Thomas" and Danny E. Harrison; and a daughter, Janice M. Biddle. Graveside services were held Friday, Sept 29, 2000, in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield, with Rev. Darrel Mead officiating, under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
