CLINTON - Richard Clair Taylor, 83, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.
He was born February 9, 1923 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, the son of Isaac and Bella Grube Taylor.
He was a veteran in the Navy during WWII and Korea and worked as a civilian for the Air Force at Olmsted and Hill Air Force Base.
He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
He loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He ran a gun repair shop with his friend Bob Landon for 20 years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and a Mason. Richard gave to numerous charities and delivered groceries for SHARE.
He enjoyed traveling and had a second home in Yuma, AZ for years.
He is survived by his wife Helen of Clinton; children, Priscilla (Paul) Myers of Norristown, PA; Timothy (Sandra) Taylor of Middletown, PA; Rebecca (Gerald) Lowe of Hooper, UT; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving a brother Thomas (Jean) Taylor of Ephrata, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank McKay-Dee Hospital, Pine View Rehab Center and Health Watch Home Health Care for all their care and support.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 4 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 5560 South 2300 West, Roy.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Roy.
