Born in Manchester, NH on April 2, 1926, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Laflamme) Ball. Virginia was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls.
Virginia owned and operated Cathedral Church Goods Company since 1968.
Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime communicant of Saint Raphael Church. Later, she was a member of the Parish of the Transfiguration.
Virginia will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose family was the center of her life. She will be missed immensely and held close in heart always.
She was married thirty-five years to Frederick E. Gleason. He died March 18, 1986.
Family members include her son, Frederick E. Gleason, Jr. and his wife, Judi, of Concord; four daughters, Theresa Bucher and her husband, Timothy, of Pennsylvania, Susan Hebert and her husband, Walter Skip, of Manchester, Anne Gleason of Manchester, Patricia Petro and her husband, James, of Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Jeffrey, Timothy, Katie, Stephen, John, Elizabeth, Grace, James, Ryan, and Kaitlyn; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and many dear friends at Hanover Hill Health Care Center.
Services: Calling hours are Sunday from 3 to 6 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.
The funeral will be held Monday with a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in the Parish of the Transfiguration, Manchester.
Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
The family wishes to express its gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Hanover Hill Health Care who not only gave her wonderful care, but also showed great affection for her as well.
