Famous Ulster suffragist. An activist during the Irish Revolution, 1916-1922. Member of the Women's Suffrage Society and the Women's Social and Political Union.

Elizabeth was a prolific writer and wrote under the pseudo L.A.M. Priestley.
Her writings/books include:
Love Stories Of Some Eminent Women. 1906
The American Child. 1913
The Feminine In Fiction. 1918.
The Story Of County Down. 1929.

Elizabeth's husband George McCracken, a Belfast solicitor, represented women's rights issues on a pro bono basis in court. The McCracken's lived at 1 Dunluce Ave.

Mother of three sons, "Maurice" Lee, James "Ivan" and George "Stavely".

Elizabeth parents: Robert Priestley and Eliza Doggert.
