Burial will follow at Gum Springs Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Gore, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on July 10, 1942 in Blackgum Community, Oklahoma to Opal Craighead Pruitt and Ivey Pruitt and passed away on February 20, 2018 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Shirley Risley Pruitt on June 3, 1967 in Gore, Oklahoma. Mr. Pruitt was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in maintenance at Army Corps of Engineers.

Survivors are his wife: Shirley of the home; 3 daughters: Michelle Adams and partner: Michael Roybal of Albuquerque, NM, Felicia Travis of Gore, OK, Tammy Pruitt and fiance Craig Smith of Gore, OK; 1 son: Lee Pruitt of Gore, OK; 1 son in law: Bennett Smith of Gore, OK; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Dorothy Davis of Blackgum Community, OK; 2 brothers: Loydale Pruitt of Blackgum Community, OK and Donald Pruitt of Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death his parents, daughter: Georgia Jean Smith, 7 siblings 1 great grandson: Nijah Gallo.
