Edward Gregory, 94, of Hillsboro passed away February 24, 2018 in Dallas. He was born September 14, 1923 in Aquilla, the son of Edward Pinkney and Bertha Mae (Gibson) Gregory.

He attended Alligator and Aquilla schools. At the age of 19 he joined the United States Army Air Force where he was an engineer gunner for the B26's. Following his honorable discharge he received his high school diploma. On June 1, 1947 Edward was united in marriage to Nell Dollar whom he had met on a blind date.

For many years he was a dairyman and ran a Grade A dairy farm in the Vaughan Community. He also farmed and raised award winning hay. Later in life Edward went to work at Iron Spring Christian Camp in Whitney for many years. He was a member of the Aquilla Church of Christ where he led singing for over 50 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Nell Gregory on November 8, 2014; two sisters, Kathleen Underwood and Dorothy Glass; two sisters-in-law, Claudine Gregory and Paula Gregory; two brothers-in-law, James Underwood and Johnny Glass and two sons-in-law, Jerry Burkhart and Mike Stacy.

Survivors include his three daughters, Jan Nash, June Skerik and Rhonda Burkhart; three brothers, Hollis Gregory, James Gregory and Gayle Gregory; eight grand children, 12 great grand children and other family members.

Funeral services will be held February 28, 2018. Burial will follow at Vaughan Cemetery.
