PRICE, Jimmie Eugene, 84, of Roanoke, Va. passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Essie Mae Price; his wife, Joyce Ann Price; his stepdaughter, Wanda G. Greever; his sisters, Catherine Morris, Helen Minter, Beatrice Runyon, Dorothy Lipscomb and Madeline Shelor; and brothers, Russell Price and Billy Price. He is survived by granddaughter, Tonya M. Agosto and husband Victor F. Agosto, Jr. of Midlothian; great-grandchildren, Christopher C. Hyatt, Jr, Shannon B. Harvey, and Kaitlyn E. Agosto; and two great-great granddaughters. Jimmie proudly served many years in the United States Navy and is a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam War. After the military, he worked many years for the State of Virginia, in the Spring Street and Powhatan Correctional Facilities. The family would like to send a special thank you to Elmcroft Assisted Living and to the nurses and physicians at Chippenham Hospital, 4 Front Unit. Your shared love for Jimmie will never go unappreciated and we are eternally grateful for the compassionate care he received. The family will have a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.
