Carl Douglas Lowe, 80, of Roanoke, died Thursday, February 22 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Danville, Va., on November 3, 1937 to the late Herman and Empress Lowe.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years June Henderson Lowe; sisters, Brenda (Jimmy) Watlington and Judith Thurman, both of Danville; several nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and his beloved “Miss Kitty.”
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cotton Hill Building, with Bishop Paul Rucker conducting. Interment will follow in the Ferguson Family Cemetery on Ivy Mountain Drive.
