Jack Edwin Hamilton age 79 of Branson, Missouri, passed away on February 22, 2018 at the Shepherd of The Hills Living Center in Branson.
He was born on December 25, 1938 in Morning Sun, Iowa the son of Cecil and Myrtle Baird Hamilton. He played professional baseball from 1957 through 1971 including the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and the California Angels. He and his wife moved to Branson in 1986 and he was owner of Jack & Tommy’s and the Pzazz Restaurants. He was united in marriage to Jan Hamilton on May 28, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and to this union was born three children. He was a member of The Sanctuary of Hope Church.
Survivors are his wife: Jan Hamilton. Two children; Karla Hamilton and Kyle Jack Hamilton. Three sisters; Patsy Huddle, Janet Hall and Judi Delzell. Four grandchildren, Jacki Langum, Gayla Ross, Dillon Spears and Kasey Worthington, and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and a daughter, Kris Langum and grandson Travis Langum.
Burial will be later in the Spring, 2018, in Iowa
