Robert P. Schwisow
Robert P. Schwisow, 65, Beatrice, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 1994, at Beatrice Community Hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1929 at Powell and graduated from Daykin High School. He married Jeannette Endorf on Feb. 6, 1955 and farmed for eight years near Alexandria. He retired from Norris Public Power District where he had worked for 29 years as a heavy equipment operator. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 in the Korean Conflict He was a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Daykin and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Beatrice where he had served on the Stewardship Committee. He was also a member of Bitting-Norman Post 27 of the American Legion, Geddes-Thober Post 1077 Veteran of Foreign Wars, and Aerie 531 Fraternal Order of Eagles, all Beatrice.
Survivors: wife, Jeanette; son, Bruce Schwisow and wife Shirleen of Beatrice; daughter, Barbara Traudt and husband Robert of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jill and Jamie Schwisow of Beatrice, Lindsey and Brandon Traudt of Lincoln; sister, Mary Blackburn and husband William of Broken Bow; nieces; nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Edith (Kirchoff) Schwisow, brother, Earl Schwisow and infant brother Eugene Schwisow.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1994, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Beatrice, the Rev. James Fandrey officiating. Burial: Evergreen Home Cemetery. A family prayer service will be held 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1994 in the church fellowship room. Visitation: until 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1994, at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice and one hour before services at church. Bitting-Norman Post 27 of the American Legion will conduct military graveside services. Memorial established with Melvin Evers and Henry Niemann in charge. Fox Funeral Home, Beatrice, in charge of arrangements.
