Jeanette M. Schwisow, 82, of Beatrice passed away at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday morning, February 22, 2018. She was born February 20, 1936 in Tobias.

She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Tobias. She was raised near Tobias and graduated from Tobias High School. She married Robert Schwisow on February 6, 1955 at Tobias and lived on a farm near Alexandria. They moved to Beatrice in the early 60’s where she worked for Formfit and the Beatrice State Developmental Center both of Beatrice. Prior to living at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation, she resided at Haven Manor in Hickman. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church of Tobias, a former member of Immanuel Lutheran of Daykin and had been a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Beatrice.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Bruce (Shirleen) Schwisow of Beatrice; one daughter, Barbara (Robert) Traudt of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Jill (Matt) Strouf and Jamie (Jay) Weber all of DeWitt, Lindsey Traudt and Brandon Traudt both of Lincoln; six great-grandchildren, Axley and Oakley Strouf, Paizley, Blakely and Maddox Weber, Ariauna Tafoya; three sisters-in-law, Juliann Endorf of Tobias, Mary (Bill) Blackburn of Broken Bow, Darlene Wells of Iowa; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Matilda Rohr Endorf; her husband Robert, who died November 12, 1994; one brother, Rolland Endorf and one brother-in-law, Earl Schwisow.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Rev. Dr. J. Dirk Reek officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice.

A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Monday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family for future designation. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until 9:00 P.M.
