Edna Waltman Reeves, 98, of Paducah, passed away from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was a resident of Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Edna was born in 1919 in the Woodville Community of Ballard County. She graduated from Heath High School in 1938. Edna retired as an LPN from Western Baptist Hospital in 1982. In 1972 she joined Bible Baptist Church, now Heartland Church. Edna was known for her sewing, craft making and deep love for others. She was honored by Hope Unlimited at their annual banquet for making and donating 300 baby caps. Many area family members and friends were recipients of her hand-made animals and dolls which she gave away or sold at local craft shows.

Edna is survived by her children, Wilma (Robert) Lanier and David Glenn Reid; step-daughter, Mary Anna Davidson; five grandchildren, Steve (Sherry) Lanier, Lori Lanier, Scott (Talana) Reid, Debbie (Bruce) Krahn, and Dewayne (Leslie) Reid; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were an infant son, Donald Lynn Reid; three sisters; and her parents, William Robert Waltman and Rosetta Savannah Parker Waltman.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11am Friday at the funeral home.
