Boyd Yvon Davis, 79, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center on Tuesday February 20, 2018.
Boyd Yvon Davis was born on July 2, 1938, in Unionville, MO, the son of Boyd Hubert and Thelma (Coffman) Davis. Boyd graduated from Unionville High School, later married Monnie and three children were born to this union. Boyd later married Sandra Gregerson and she survives at the home. Boyd was a lifelong carpenter in the state of California. In 2001, Boyd and Sandra retired back to Unionville at his family home. Boyd worked for the Unionville Estates and was a member of the Unionville Park Board for 10 years. Boyd loved his time camping and trout fishing with his boys in Lone Pine, CA. He was an avid trout fisherman.
In addition to his wife Sandra, Boyd is survived by his sons, Kenny Davis of Los Angeles, CA; John Davis and wife Maria; and Boyd Steven Davis and wife Pam, all of Houston, TX. Boyd is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Sue Ann Larson and husband Scott of Pasco, WA, and son-in-law, Tom Briggs and wife Anita of Kennwick, WA. Boyd’s surviving siblings are sister Kathy Brown of Independence, MO; and brothers Gary Davis and wife Connie of Unionville, MO, and Charles Davis and wife Jolene of Joplin, MO. Boyd is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to Boyd’s parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Brown.
A visitation for Boyd Yvon Davis will be held at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 25, 2018. A brief prayer service will be held at 4:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Unionville City Park Board and may be entrusted to the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
