A Celebration of Life Service for Dorotha Parker Layton, 90, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Trinity Heights Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Nick Roark of Franconia Baptist Church, Springfield, VA, and Pastor Collin Wimberly of Trinity Heights Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery, Simms, TX. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Dorotha was born September 20, 1927, in New Boston, TX to Ola Howell Parker and Looney Thompson Parker and passed away February 17, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church. Dorotha loved Christ and her family.
