Jacqueline Savannah Vanna Perkins, 37, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was born in Martinsville on November 15, 1980, to Constance Perkins Hairston and the late Lawrence Gilbert. Jacqueline was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Jacqueline M. Perkins Brim, Clarence Perkins, Hazel and Posey Gilbert and great grandparents, Robert Martin and Daisy Martin Johnson. She graduated from Bassett High School in 1999.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Kelaisza Stockton, Rodriquez Preston, Roderick Preston and Kemari Preston; sisters, Rhonda Perkins and Angela Baker (Alton); brothers, Tyrone Perkins, Lawrence Gilbert (Betty) and Donanek Wooden and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other loving family members,
The family will receive friends on Monday; February 26, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at New Bethel Christian Church where a funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Burial will follow the service at Carver Memorial Gardens.
