Julia Simpson

Julia I. Simpson, age 71, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Parkside Manor in Columbia, Missouri.
Julia was born on May 18, 1946, in Fulton, Missouri, the daughter of Willie J. and Goldie (Branch) Matson. In August 1062, Julia was united in marriage to Darrell R. "Nip" Simpson. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2015.
Julia retired from Fulton State Hospital where she worked as a cook.
She loved going with Nip to the Riverview Camp Ground at the lake and loved showing off Nips Ford Galaxy at car shows. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family.
Julia will be lovingly remembered by two daughters, Diana Stahr of Columbia, Missouri and Trixie (Tracy) Moses of Fulton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Matthew Stahr of Columbia, Missouri, Conner Stahr of Columbia, Missouri, Oakley James Tyrone Salmons of Fulton, Missouri and Hayden Marcialina Frost of Fulton, Missouri; brother, John Matson (Linda) of Ohio; multiple nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Matson; sister-in-law, Delores Loucks; brothers-in-law, Dale Simpson and Ronald Loucks.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until time of service at Maupin Funeral Home.
Memorial donations are suggested to American Heart Association or Alzheimers Association, Mid Missouri Chapter.
