KING - Ina Merritt Aldridge, 70, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1934, in Stokes County to Walter and Bessie Priddy Merritt. She retired from Burns Aerospace in Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Fred, Dennis, Harvey, Herbert and Hubert Merritt. Surviving are her husband, C.E. Aldridge, of the home; a daughter, Pat (Everett) Giles, of Merritt Island, Fla.; three sons, Mike Aldridge, Steve (Sonya) Aldridge, both of King, and Tony Aldridge of Lexington; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace Everhart of Winston-Salem and Mozelle Stewart of Rural Hall. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Slate Funeral Home in King, with Pastor Daniel Salmon officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, June 2, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stokes County, P.O. Box 10, Danbury, NC 27016.
