John Mitchell "Mitch" Kirchner, 62, husband of Joy Ellis Kirchner, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born March 1, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina, son of the late Walter Kirchner and Beverly Kirchner Scott. Mr. Kirchner was a member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church where he was also a choir member. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and UK fan. Surviving relatives include a son, Cody Mitchell Kirchner; daughter, Ashley Kirchner (Daniel) Saldaña; three brothers, Joe (Janet) Kirchner, Mike Kirchner and Fritz (Marie Gorham) Kirchner; aunt, Pam House and uncle, Marshall (Ohko) House. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Ashland Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky.
