Hattie Lorraine (Lorrie) Jones passed away quietly on February 18, 2018, at her home in Prosper, Texas. Lorrie was born July 3, 1955 to Thomas Edwin and Irene Mae Mahaffey in Albany, Oregon. Lorrie spent part of her life as a stay at home mom raising children as well as working many years in both the oil and gas industry as well as technology. She worked for Halliburton, MCI, ACS and Verizon.

Lorrie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kelsey G. Jones; children, Londa Burton and her husband Kirk, Ashley Pitts and her husband Matthew, and John Saporito; grandchildren, Matthew Burton, Katheryn Lemons and her husband Thomas, and John Burton; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Stacy Pittman and her husband Perry and Terice Hewitt and her husband Dave; sister, Dottie Campbell and her husband Robert; and brothers, Mike Mahaffey and his wife Jean and Jimmy Mahaffey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edwin Mahaffey and great-grandchild Maliah Burton.

Lorrie had a kind heart and a strong Christian faith. She had strong family values and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Rhea’s Mill Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. A private family interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends at visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
