Rachel Amos Jordan, 97, of Boones Mill, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018. She was a faithful member of Church of God at Red Hill. She will be greatly missed, but has gone home to be with her Savior.
Rachel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rafford T. Jordan; her granddaughter, Kimberly D. Guilliams; and by her Mama, Papa, brothers, and sisters.
Rachel is survived by her son, Randall B. Jordan (Mary, deceased); daughter, Kathy J. Guilliams (Kenneth); and daughter, Debra H. Arthur (Robert). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Guilliams (Kara), Raphaela Kamholtz (Scott), John Rafford Guilliams (Jennifer), and Kristina Rosemary Guilliams; step-granddaughter, Magen Windel (Joe); three great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes special thanks to Faye Bates, Bernice Overfelt, and Good Samaritan Hospice for their care of Mama.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Oakey’s South Chapel with Rev. Harry Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey’s South Chapel on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
