Samuel O. Davis, 53, of 2212 Circle Drive, Airport Villa, died Friday at Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Wilmington and a conductor for the Penn Central railroad.
Mr. Davis was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 29.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Loretta T. Nagle Davis; two sons, Samuel F. of New York and Robert J. of Wilmington; a sister, Mrs. Betty Lou Edge of Holly Oak Terrace; his mother, Mrs. Alma M. Davis of Wilmington, and three grandchildren.
Requiem Mass will be offered at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Cedar and Clayton Sts., tomorrow morning at 9:30. Friends may call tonight at Mealy Funeral Home, 7th and Broom Sts. Arrangements for interment are incomplete.
