Cayce - Sue Kinsey Lucas, 88, of Cayce, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018. She was born July 8, 1929, in Seneca, SC, to the late Walter Kinsey and Essie Donald Kinsey. Sue was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She owned and operated Lucas Market on Fish Hatchery Road for many years. Sue was famous for her Lucas's Hot Dogs. She was also a former part owner of Lucas Septic Tank Service. Surviving are her son, Joe Grooms Jr. (Linda) of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Peggy Northcutt of Cayce; grandsons, J.R. Grooms III of (USC) Columbia, Bodie Yarborough (Tracy) of Swansea; granddaughters, Kelli Grooms McBride (Cory) of Mount Washington, Ky., Lexie Yarborough of (CU) Clemson; great-grandchildren, Briley McBride, Lauren Kimberlin and David Yenny; sisters, Zonell Carroll (Ash) of Gaston and Faye Currie Fritts (Larry) of Holly Hill; sister-in-law, Mildred Kinsey of Indian Trail, N.C. She was predeceased by her Husband, Bobby P. Lucas; brothers, Walter Jr. ("Dub"), Haskell ("Hack"), Doris, Johnell and Lane Kinsey; and her sister, Elsie White. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Trinity Baptist Church, 2003 Charleston Highway in Cayce. Interment will follow the service in Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, 303 Oak Grove Road in Swansea. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road in West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church. The Children's Ministry, 2003 Charleston Highway, Cayce, SC 29033.
