Virgil R. Frankfather, of Wickenburg, Arizona, passed away at age 76 at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Surprise, Arizona, on Sunday, January 28, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Fireside, Ohio on December 14, 1941, Virgil grew up in Bellevue, Ohio, and worked for the corporate office of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) for 40 years before retiring to Wickenburg. Virgil and his wife Christine enjoyed traveling the world together, spending time with friends and loved ones and caring for their many and varied animals. They were happiest gardening and working together on their home in Arizona.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Christine Richards; his sister, Thelma Thompson; his brother, Robert; his sister, Gloria "Dodie" Good; his daughter, Beth Sigurdsson; his sons Robert and Chad Frankfather; his stepson, Kevin Richards; and his many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Olive (Hooper) Frankfather and his brother, John Frankfather.
Celebration of Life services will be held in both Arizona and Ohio at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
