Johnnie had been a life-long resident of this area. He owned and operated Holts Auto Salvage, several service stations, an auto parts business and Reeds Spring Metal Recycling. He pastored the Free Pentecostal Church at Reeds Spring for 45 years. He was an Army Veteran in the Korean War from 1949 – 1953. He was Commander in Chief of the VFW in Reeds Spring for several years. He was also a member of the Bible Way Association in Doniphan, MO.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Mae Loomis; his parents; son, Johnnie L. Holt; daughter, Lisa Holt; two brothers, Freddie Holt and Clyde Holt and half-brother, William Carr; two sisters, Clara Almes and Thelma Costlow.
Survivors include; son, Ronnie Holt of Galena, MO; daughter, Connie Cunningham and husband Allen of Clever, MO; brother, James Holt of Cape Fair, MO, living in Fairland, OK; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2018 1:00- 2:00 pm with the service to follow at 2:00 with Pastor Allen Cunningham officiating all to be held at Stumpff Funeral Home in Kimberling City, MO. Burial will be at Nickerson Cemetery in Kimberling City, MO. In lieu of flowers, money can be given to help with funeral expenses. Donations can be made directly to the funeral home.
