Gary "Bubba" Grant Bacon, Jr. passed on to his eternal life on February 22, 2018 at the young age of 53. Bubba was born on March 9, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to Gary and Barbara Bacon.
Bubba attended school in Cotulla and graduated from Somerset High School in 1982. Soon after graduating, he began working at the Bacon's family business, Air-Tex Air Conditioning and Heating, where his father taught him the skills and knowledge of a successful businessman.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Bailee Hoover and husband Matthew; son, Joshua Bacon; the mother of his children Darla Bacon; parents, Gary and Barbara Bacon; sister, Lisa Vollmer and husband Rodney; niece, Lindsey McCelvey and husband BJ; nephew, JC Vollmer and wife Lindsey; niece Mandi and husband; great-nephew, Krue McCelvey; great-nieces, Demi McCelvey and Vallie Vollmer; aunts and uncles, Wood and Belane Harrod, Jack and Modie Stephenson, Leroy and Sue Rankin, Chester and Jane Blair. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Wendy Lowry.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents who adored him; JC and Marie Williams and Jerry and Peggy Bacon; uncle and aunt, Tommy and Billy Jo Mosier; cousins, Randi Barrington, and great aunts and uncles, Thelma Brite, Margie and Howard Sturges, and Shorty Errington.
His chapel services will be held Monday, February 26th, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home located at 118 West Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton, Texas. Interment will follow the service at San Miguel Cemetery.
