Bonnie Mack Hutson Hughes, 83, of Adial Road, Faber, Va. passed way on Monday, February 19, 2018, at her residence. Born on May 11, 1934, in Dodson, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Mack and Bonnie Hutson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zachariah P. Hughes on September 3, 2014; her son, Ivan P. Hughes on December 31, 2002; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Rhoades.
Bonnie was a member of the Rockfish Valley Baptist Church, where she served as Choir Director and was active in the WMU and The Feed the Children Fund. She also served as an LPN in the U.S. Army in states.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan A. Martin and son-in-law, Walter K. Martin of Nellysford, Va.; granddaughter, Nina A. Martin of Norfolk, Va.; grandson and Care Giver, Christopher N. Martin of Nellysford, Va.; daughter-in-law, Terry F. Hughes of Nellysford, Va.; brother-in-law, Henry A. Hughes of Nellysford, Va.; sisters-in-law, Shanny Hamilton of Waynesboro, Va., and Stella Hughes of Charlottesville, Va.; and a brother-in-law, John Rhoades of Waynesboro, Va.
A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Rockfish Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Nellysford, Va. with Pastor Robert Mansfield officiating. Arrangements by Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel of Lovingston, Va. (434-263-4097).
