He graduated from Sissonville High School. He retired early due to kidney disease from the WV Division of Highways. It was a proud day for Steve when he was baptized.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Bob Boyce; sister, Louise Asbury. Surviving are sister, Mary Humphreys of Cincinnati, Ohio, her daughter, Pam Midkiff with Jamie and Colin, Mary's son, Keith and Ashley Humphreys; sister, Diana and David Romsky of Spring Hill, their daughter, Dawn and Brian Miller with Cody and Sierra; brother, Terry Boyce of Sissonville; sister-in-law, Linda Boyce of Sissonville; niece, Elizabeth Sullivan of Lancaster, Ohio.
Steve loved to fish and hunt with his good friends, Mark and DJ Seabolt of Sissonville, Scott and Gail Fisher, Jacob and Jace Fisher of Sissonville, Melanie Cobb and Pat Wheatcraft. Steve was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, Pocatalico, with Rev. Randy Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery. Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.
