Queen and her family moved from Arkansas to Gloversville when she was a young girl.
She received her education in the Gloversville School System, graduating in the Class of 1953. After graduation, Queen moved to New Jersey to attend Nursing School.
She returned to Gloversville shortly after the birth of her first child. Queen worked for 25 years the former Fulton County Infirmary as a Nurse's Aide retiring sometime in the 1990s. I can't ever remember a time when I ever heard a negative comment when speaking about our Mom. She was the Heart and Soul of this Family. We will forever be Blessed for having her in our lives!!!
Queen is survived by her companion Henry Pollard, Sr.; daughters Devette Williams, Paulette Warner (Jeffrey), Terese Pollard; grandchildren Yolanda Dudley, Andre Williams, Sr., Natasha Allen (Michael), Brittany Pollard, Cameron Pollard, Ian Warner, Jaret Warner, Lauryn Kaczor and Sierra Brower; great grandchildren Gilbert Dudley, Jr., Brandon Dudley, Chandler Kane, Keisha Williams, Keirshea Williams, Kateri Perry, Andre Williams, Jr., Ariana Pollard and Brayah Queen Allen; sisters in law Ellen Pollard Ligon, Jeraldine Pollard Beekman, special cousin Harold Laird, close and very special friends Bart and Val Warner and the Brower/Kaczor family and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Queen was preceded in death by her parents Delodia Laird Ligon, Theoplis Ligon, brother John T. Ligon, Sr., son Henry Pollard, Jr. and grandson James Borland.
