She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Red" Earl Freeman and a daughter, Glenda Earl Stevens.
The surviving members of her family are two daughters, Joan Rabon and husband Wayne, Roslyn Walker and husband Doug of Lumberton; two sons, Robert Earl Freeman, Jr. and wife Kim, Danny Freeman and wife Deborah all of Lumberton and Gail Johnson of Elizabethtown; a sister, Judy McKenzie of Destin, FL; two brothers, Gary McKenzie and wife Mary of Lumberton and Charles McKenzie and wife Bobby of Charlotte; nine grandchildren, Lisa Johnson and husband Ken of MS, Lee Stevens III of Washington, DC, Daniel Stevens and wife Holly of Lumberton, Stacey Conway and husband Aaron of VA, Marcia Lindsay and husband Jamie, Amy West and husband Steve, Robert Freeman III and wife Vanessa, Kelly Graham and husband Scott, Hannah Freeman and Ava Freeman all of Lumberton; and nine great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kristen, Kristopher, Justin, Ally, Mason, Jacob, Layla and Haley.

Her greatest passions in life were her family, First Baptist Church, where she taught 8th Grade Sunday School Class for over forty years and the great pride she took in her gardening.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Community Hospice for their compassion and care.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Lumberton with Dr. David Elks and Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youth Program or Friends of Jesus Sunday School Class of First Baptist of Lumberton, 606 N. Walnut Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
