Gwendolyn T. Allen, age 94, formerly of Huntsville passed away Thurs. Feb. 27, 2014. She was born on Dec. 6, 1919, in Morgantown, West VA. She had been a business education teacher, in Fairhope, PA and in Huntsville. She held a Bachelor's Degree from West VA University and a Master's from A & M University. She was active in the Helion Lodge, Easter Star in the American Assoc. of University Women (AAUW) and the First Christian Church in Huntsville. She is survived by her Son, Daughter and 3 Granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 35 years, Virgil Allen. Service will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum on Monday March 3, 2014, at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please send memorials to AAUW Leadership Project, at 8300 Valley Hills Dr. SE Huntsville , AL 35802. Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
