Bobby Henry, 82, of Mountain View, Missouri departed this life on February 18, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri. He was born on November 9, 1935 in Mountain View, Missouri, to Jesse Ray and Lelia Irene (Briles) Henry.

Bob was united in marriage to Pauline Dawn Deboard on July 31, 1954 in West Plains, Missouri. To this union four children were born.

Pauline writes, “Bob was a very kind caring person. We were married on the hottest day on record July 31, 1954. From the early loss of our first infant to the newest great grand baby, his family and church was his life. He had many jobs over the years, from working at Smiths Mill and several stores in town to having his own repair shop, hauling water and part time school bus driver. This turned into full time for the Mountain View-Birch Tree School district for 30 years. He retired at 62 and began a new adventure of sightseeing with his love, Pauline and on his love, a bright red Harley. We had the joy of traveling in a semi-truck, which he always wanted to do, seeing a lot of the country. He dreamed of this from the time we were married, but family was more important. We have lived in our home 60 years, close to his family and parents. He had no desire to live any place else. He loved to trade cars in the early years, fixing them up and trading them off. He loved being on our farm and having the kids all living nearby. We have been blessed not only by our children, but also the closeness of his nieces and nephews all around him willing to help and in return he helped them with his knowledge of vehicles. When asked what he would like to do first when he got out of the hospital just a few days ago, his answer was ‘sit in my swing in front of the garage and see the cars go by and aggravate the squirrels’. I and our children were his life and we will miss him immensely. He was due to come home from hospital the next day, but the Lord wanted him to go home to him. We will see him again someday, Lord willing.”

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Pauline; children, Elaine Greenan and husband, Bob, Mountain View, MO, Cheryl Heavin and husband, Darrell, Spokane, MO, Dale Henry and wife, Denise, Mountain View, MO and Pam Frazier and husband, Shawn, of Mountain View, MO; ten grandchildren, Michael Geenan and wife, Andrea, Chris Heavin, Latisha Smith and husband, Stuart, Ashley Henry, Samantha Henry, Natalie Henry, Toby Stephens, Brian Stephens and wife, Kali, Austin Stephens and wife, Sophie, and Aleisha Stephens and husband, Gary; thirteen great grandchildren, Karter, Ava, Shayle, Wyatt, Taylan, Jayce, Harper, Henlee, Lenorah, Shyloah, Taylor, Stu and Max; one sister Alva Bandy and husband, Doug, of West Plains, MO, and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his infant son; his parents; three brothers, Fred, Ted and Leonard Henry; and one sister, Velma Lee.

He attended Forest Dell Community Church. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018, followed by the funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in Yarber Mortuary chapel, Mountain View, with Pastor James Duddridge officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery-Poe Hill, Pomona, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Forest Dell Community Club or Mt. Zion Cemetery.
