Michael J. Brown, 70, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at The Village at Legacy Pointe in Waukee.
Per Michael's wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Michael was born October 5, 1947 in Des Moines, IA. He was a longtime Special Education Teacher at Southeast Polk Community School District.
Michael also spent many years serving the members of the Hyperion Country Club.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Tara Brown of West Des Moines; sisters, Diane Brown-Showman of Clive and Mary Green of Urbandale; sister-in-law, Lori Ruppe of Urbandale; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Ruppe-Brown; and parents, John and Ruth (Danks) Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael Brown Scholarship Memorial Fund to be established through the Southeast Polk Dollars for Scholars.
