Mr. Jimmy Wayne Morgan, 71, of 303 Westminister Avenue, Laurens, SC passed away Monday, February 19th 2018.

Born in Woodruff, SC, he was a son of the late William Herbert and Fannie Davis Morgan. Jimmy was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed with Laurens Glass and later retired from Faurecia. Mr. Morgan was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and the VFW Post 3354.

Surviving is one son, Jeffery Baron Morgan and wife Michelle Lyman-Morgan of Clinton; two step daughters, Jaime Avery and Gina Armstrong; a sister in law, Doris Morgan; two nephews, James Ray "Toe Jo" Tucker and wife Debbie and Danny Morgan and girlfriend Stephanie Donnan; two nieces, Sandra "Sissy" Coker and husband Perry and Toni Barbrey and husband Danny B.; three grandchildren, Brayson Lyman, Wyatt Lyman-Morgan, Chyenne Lyman-Morgan; three step grandchildren, Ethan Lewis, Hunter Lingerfelt, and Tyler Avery; a special friend, Mercedes Brown; and lifelong best buddies, Jerry Gaines and Harold Lancaster and wife Sally.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James Otis Morgan; a sister, Judy Ruth Morgan; and a nephew, Marcus Wayne Morgan.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018, at Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Don Peak with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will be at the home of his niece, Sandra Coker, 130 Bull Hill Rd, Gray Court and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
