In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carla Patterson.
Having graduated from New York City Public Schools, Howard discovered his passion for photography and music. Howard was laidback, kind and a creative man. He may not have been the first one to start a conversation, but his quietness and eye for the “small things” is what made him into the great wedding and portrait photographer he was.
Howard’s artistic gift allowed him to capture the most sacred and cherished moments for his clients. His appreciation for music allowed him to express himself without speaking a word. A loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend; most of all, Howard was a life gone from us all too soon.
Howard is survived by his mother, Shirley F. Henry, of Bronx, New York; two brothers, Darryl Hollifield and Dewayne Henry, both of Bronx, New York; and one sister, Patricia Patterson of Salisbury, North Carolina. To cherish his memory, he also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory in Marion, North Carolina. Interment will follow the visitation at McDowell Memorial Park
