John Old passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the age of 84.

He was born in Dallas.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. John married Janis Hogue in Dallas. His career was in firefighting with the Houston Fire Dept.

Survivors include: Sons: Shell Old and wife Addie; and Larry Old and wife Kim; Other Children: Ray Robbins Bruce Robbins; Melva Shrum; Richie Thompson; Rodney Thompson, and RaDonna Davis; Brother: Jordan Old, Jr.;

Preceded by: Parents; Wife, in 2010; and Sister, Patti Fickert
