Funeral services for Joan Pittman, 73, of Beaumont will be held Monday, July 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation was held on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Pittman was born January 23, 1933 in Cary, North Carolina and passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

A lifelong resident of Beaumont, Mrs. Pittman was Past President of the Beaumont Junior Forum, a former member of the Melody Maids, a member of Calder Baptist Church and had previously been an active leader in a Bible Study at First Baptist Church. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in her love of family and her 5 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, David Eric Pittman and granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Pittman. She is survived by her husband, Bill Pittman of Beaumont; son, Billy Pittman and daughters, Lynn Sticker and Sandra Leonard of Beaumont; grandchildren, Blake, Brett and Katelyn Sticker, Taylor Pittman and Evan Leonard; and sister, Betty Parsons of Beaumont.
