Hill, Eula Mae, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11.

She was born in Adair County on June 15, 1920, to the late Stanley and Susie (Maupin) Flatt. Eula was a lay minister for the Church of God for over 50 years and spent many hours every week teaching Bible classes and visiting nursing homes. She was a devoted member of the Church of God Dixie Valley. Eula was no stranger to work and she retired from both American Air Filter and Jewish Hospital. Her family was her priority and she loved to have them sit around her and teach them stories from the Bible.

Eula is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 55 years, Iva Hill; a son, James Hill; a brother, Bobby Joe Flatt; and three sisters, Josie Roy, Mitchleen Melton, and Mary Whitney.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, a daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren, a brother, 3 sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The visitation for Eula will be Wednesday, December 13, from 1 pm to 8 pm and Thursday, December 14, from 10 am to 1 pm at Arch L. Heady and Sons, 3601 Taylor Blvd. A celebration of life service will take place for Eula on Thursday at 1 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Presbyterian Homes and Hosparus of Louisville for the excellent care and compassion shown to Eula over the last several weeks and months. Memorial donations may be made in Eula's honor to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association
